Running Water: Sgwr y Pannwr Waterfall, Brecon Beacons, Wales
Out to jog one summers day
Breathing in the fresh display
Of country air and bright as joy
The colours of a younger boy
Grin of sunshine warms the hear
tWhere to next? well, where to start!
reflecting on the last few days
and planning in the morning rays.
Slowly here and speeding up
falling for this thirsty pup!
Glistening beads of sweat poured out
cooling down this hot Boy Scout!
So beautiful, I stop and stare
and breath it in like forest air
the scent of pine, the twinkling light
the bumbling, gurgling, gushing sight!
Crescendo, as it tumbles down
beneath the forest’s leafy crown
What adventure! What a caper!
White and frothy, water vapour!
Breaking, torn, a splashed fibrosis!
building up apotheosis?
Orchestral crashing larceny?
It’s Natures rushing harmony!
Carried down, this liquid porter
Pushing faster, running water
Forced together, forced apart
This gushing stirs my very heart.
