The Involuntary Stretch Sketch (Natalie St Clair)
The days stretch out and they’re boring
The lectures through which we are snoring
There not much to say
And no real sport to play
For outside its just snowing or pouring!
It’s a rough life to take-in the studies
Alone, without teachers or buddies
As everyone’s seen
i’m in love with my screen!
Alexa and I have become ‘fuddy-duddies’!
My music, the blast for the crowd
Surely someone will hear it if it’s turned up loud!
It’s not very clear
But it’s all i can hear
Perhaps thunder will clap through a silver-lined cloud!
So my mind turns to people to date
I’m now in my twenties and time will not wait!
With Facebook and twitter
Without sounding bitter
Looking almost my best and accepting my fate!
In the past, generations had fun
They would sunbathe and read while they lay in the sun
With a queue! Well who’s next?
Someone send me a text!
I may graduate first before life has begun!
Come on! Let’s all meet up and drink!
It will certainly help me to think!
It can’t really hurt
Now i’mvaccined, to flirt
Oh at least message back with a wink!
